For 27 years, I worked in branding, marketing, and guest experience—quietly building purposeful stories inside a nonprofit organization. I started in a photo lab at 14, worked across departments, and eventually became a senior manager without ever holding a formal degree.
I built trust. I built brands. But over time, I started to feel stuck. Caught in systems. Disconnected from purpose.
Then came the moment I never saw coming:
“We don’t see a future for you here.”
After nearly three decades, I was let go.
And strangely… I felt free.
That day sparked something bigger than fear. It gave me clarity—and the push I needed to build something truly my own.
